US President
The 2020 United States presidential election in North Carolina was held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, as part of the 2020 United States presidential election. North Carolina voters chose electors to represent them in the Electoral College via a popular vote, pitting the Republican Party's nominee, incumbent President Donald Trump, and his running mate, Vice President Mike Pence, against the Democratic Party's nominee, former Vice President Joe Biden, and his running mate, U.S. Senator Kamala Harris of California.
House of Representatives
All 13 of North Carolina's seats in the United States House of Representatives were up for election in 2020. The Republican Party won 8 seats, while the Democratic Party won 5 seats. This is a gain of one seat for the Republicans and a loss of one seat for the Democrats from the 2018 elections.
