s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands - 14 June 2024 - Canadian tennis star Bianca Andreescu has earned her first win over former world number one Naomi Osaka, defeating the Japanese player in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the semifinals of the Den Bosch Open.

The victory is a major milestone for Andreescu, who has been battling injuries in recent years but has shown signs of returning to her best form this season. It is also the first time she has defeated Osaka, who has won four Grand Slam singles titles and is currently ranked seventh in the world.

Andreescu will now face either Veronika Kudermetova or Elena Rybakina in the semifinals on Saturday.
