Toulouse Hit by Injury Crisis Ahead of Paris Trip
Six Players Sidelined, Five Facing Surgery
Toulouse return to the French Top 14 on Sunday with a depleted squad as they prepare for a trip to Paris.
The reigning champions have been hit by a wave of injuries in recent weeks, with six players currently on the sidelines. According to reports in the French media, five of those players are expected to undergo surgery in the coming days.
The most notable absentees are Arthur Retiere and Matthis Lebel. Retiere suffered an ankle injury in last weekend's defeat to Racing 92, while Lebel has been ruled out with a cheville injury.
Other players on the injured list include Mathis Castro Ferreira, Pierre-Louis Barassi, Guillaume Marchand, and Anthony Jelonch.
The injuries have come at a crucial time for Toulouse, who are looking to maintain their challenge for the Top 14 title. They currently sit second in the standings, four points behind leaders Bordeaux-Begles.
Toulouse will be hoping to get some of their injured players back for the trip to Paris. However, they will be without a number of key players for the foreseeable future.
